PWP Customers: The Panel Upgrade Rebate in Brief

PWP currently lists a $1,000 rebate for upgrading an existing panel to a new panel rated 200 amps or higher, plus an additional $500 for customers enrolled in PWP's income-qualified bill assistance program when they apply. The headline requirements:

• The upgrade must include two dedicated 240-volt, 30-amp circuits: one for a Level 2 EV charger and one for an electric water heater.
• The home must show a newly installed Level 2 charger or electric water heater.
• The work needs a final, signed City of Pasadena electrical permit, and you apply within 180 days of final permit approval.

In SCE territory, the Charge Ready Home program offers panel-upgrade rebates to income-qualified households or residents of designated disadvantaged communities:

• Up to $4,200 (income-qualified, up to 100% of eligible costs) or up to $2,100 (disadvantaged-community, up to 50% of costs) to replace a panel under 200 amps with a 200-amp-or-larger panel plus a 240-volt EV outlet within 25 feet of off-street parking.
• Up to $1,000 toward a dedicated EV outlet if your panel is already 200 amps or more.
• Single-family homes only. The rebate doesn't cover the charger, and a Level 2 charger must be installed within 180 days of receiving the panel rebate.
